The £9,000 oil and LPG uplift ends March 2027
Last verified: 20 August 2026 — against Ofgem / GOV.UK.
Only the end date is published; we do not state a start date.
The standard grant for an air-to-water or ground source heat pump is £7,500. The uplift adds £1,500 for a total of £9,000, and it is aimed squarely at off-gas homes — the ones most likely to be running on expensive oil or LPG.
Two conditions both have to be true: the property is heated by oil or LPG, and it has no mains gas connection. Miss either and the grant stays at £7,500. The uplift runs until March 2027; because heat pump installs get booked out, a fixed end date tends to get busy before it.
